Finding good cafes in Vilnius quickly became one of my favorite parts of visiting the city. Honestly, no matter how little time I have somewhere, you can always count on me to squeeze in as many coffee shops as possible!
Coffee is one of my favorite parts of traveling, and I genuinely think experiencing a city’s cafe scene tells you a lot about the place itself.
Whether it’s a slow breakfast spot, a tiny neighborhood coffee bar, or somewhere aesthetic to warm up after wandering Old Town, cafes always end up becoming a huge part of my trips.
And Vilnius seriously impressed me.
In this guide, I’m sharing the best cafes in Vilnius, Lithuania, including the spots we loved most for coffee, matcha, breakfast, aesthetics, and just hanging out for a bit between exploring the city!
Must-Visit Cafes in Vilnius
1. Mon
Out of all the cafes in Vilnius, Mon was probably my favorite overall because it wasn’t just the coffee that stood out—the breakfast here was incredible too.
The coffee and matcha were both delicious and beautiful! I did the strawberry matcha, and the matcha was whipped! For food, we got the bacon sandwich and the scrambled eggs, which came with sides like potatoes and veggies, and everything was insanely good. The sandwich had the perfect mix of salty and sweet and just completely hit the spot.
This is definitely one of those places I’d recommend making time for, especially if you want a slower breakfast before exploring the city.

2. Italala Cafe
I really loved the vibe at Italala Cafe. It felt less touristy and more like one of those neighborhood spots where locals actually hang out.
People were working on laptops, catching up with friends, and just lingering over coffee, which always makes a cafe feel more authentic to me. They also had flavored coffee options, which I personally appreciate. Sometimes I just want a fun latte flavor, okay?
The coffee here was really good, and it ended up being one of my favorite casual stops in Vilnius.

3. The Usual
The Usual was actually recommended to us by a couple of locals who mentioned it was one of the newer cafes in Vilnius.
They don’t do flavored syrups, and as someone who usually loves a flavored latte, I was slightly skeptical. But they made my cappuccino with condensed milk instead, and it was amazing! Super smooth, slightly sweet, and one of the more memorable coffees I had during the trip.
The space itself also has a really clean, modern feel while still feeling welcoming.

4. Eskedar Coffee Bar
Eskedar Coffee Bar is such a cute little spot and an easy stop if you’re exploring Pilies Street in Vilnius.
I grabbed my coffee to go, but this would also be such a good place to slow down for a bit if you have the time. The whole space feels super cozy, eclectic, and aesthetic. And most importantly, the coffee was really good!

5. Augustas & Barbora Love Story Cafe
Okay, I’m just going to be honest, I actually didn’t love my coffee from Augustas & Barbora Love Story Cafe. It tasted very milky and just wasn’t super flavorful to me personally.
That being said… this place is adorable. The atmosphere alone honestly makes it worth stopping by, especially if you want a little pastry break or a cocktail. We enjoyed a little sweet treat here and had an amazing cocktail, so I’d probably lean more toward that route.
And honestly, maybe they were just having an off day with the coffee when I visited because so many people seem to love this spot.

Are you ready to experience the best cafes in Vilnius?!
One of my favorite ways to experience a new city is through its cafes, and Vilnius ended up having some of my favorite coffee spots from our entire Baltics trip!
If you’re planning a trip to Lithuania, definitely make time to experience the cafe scene here. And if you find another amazing coffee shop in Vilnius while you’re there, please send it my way because you already know I’m always looking for my next latte!
