Drinking Around the World in Epcot: Your Fun and Easy Guide to Every Country

Drinking Around the World in Epcot sounded so intimidating at first, especially because this was literally my first time at EPCOT (wild, I know). But I went with a couple of seasoned pros, and honestly? It ended up feeling way more doable and way less chaotic than I expected.

If you’re new to it too, here’s the deal, Epcot’s World Showcase has 11 countries, each with its own drinks, snacks, and little touches that make you feel like you’re hopping around the globe in one afternoon. There’s really no “wrong” way to do it. You can start wherever you want, pick the drinks you’re actually excited about, and fully embrace the vibes of each pavilion.

In this guide, I’m breaking down exactly what we ordered, what I thought, and a few helpful tips I wish I knew before going. I’m definitely not a pro, just a girl who survived her first Drinking Around the World in Epcot adventure and lived to tell the tale. Let’s get into it!

How Much is it Going to Cost to Drink Around the World in Epcot?

I’m not a huge drinker, and sharing drinks was honestly the best call we made. Rem and I split every drink, and it made the whole experience way more manageable (and cheaper!). Between drinks and a few snacks here and there when we felt peckish, we spent $215 total. If you’re doing your own drinks at every stop, expect that number to jump fast.

Tips for Drinking Around the World in Epcot

Before we get into the countries, let’s talk strategy — because Drinking Around the World in Epcot can get expensive, overwhelming, and honestly… sneaky strong if you don’t pace yourself.

  • Do your thrill rides first – We kicked things off with Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, which might be one of the best rides Disney has ever created (aside from Flight of Passage). Do not save this for after margaritas. Get your thrill rides out of the way early.
  • Start in Mexico – There’s always a debate on where to begin, but starting in Mexico was the move. Those margaritas set the tone in the best way.
  • Be prepared for sweet drinks – A lot of the fun themed cocktails lean very sweet. Sharing helps, because sometimes a couple sips are enough.
  • Hydrate like it’s your job – Grab water constantly. Your future self will thank you.
  • Eat strategically – You don’t need full meals, but grabbing bites in a few countries makes a huge difference. I’ll share my favorite food stops later, but seriously… don’t skip this.
  • Timing – You can totally drink around the world any time of day, but just for reference, we explored the park from 12–4, grabbed a drink at Space 220, and started our world tour around 5. We wrapped up around 8:30 (the park closes at 9 PM most nights) and never felt rushed.

Around the World: My Stop-by-Stop Breakdown

Mexico

Mexico was hands-down my favorite stop! It just has such a fun, lively vibe and honestly sets the tone for the whole “drink around the world” day.

Our friends grabbed a frozen margarita (with several different flavors) from Choza de Margarita, and when I tell you it was strong, I mean STRONG. I went inside to La Cava del Tequila and got the Avocado Margarita, which ended up being my favorite drink of the night. It wasn’t too sweet, super smooth, and so easy to sip.

We also got the Pastor Quesadillas from Choza, and wow, I wasn’t expecting much from theme park food, but these were actually really good and flavorful. Perfect little base to set us up for the rest of our drinking adventure.

Mexico is also one of the most stacked pavilions, there’s more than just drinks. You can explore the market area, check out more shops, and of course enjoy the Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros boat ride.

Norway

Norway has such a cute, cozy feel to it! Expect wood-trim buildings, Scandinavian details, and that chilly-Nordic energy that just feels right when you’re a few drinks in. It’s also where you’ll find Frozen Ever After, one of the most popular rides in Epcot. Even if you’re not a huge Frozen fan, the boat ride is cute and fun and worth doing if the line isn’t wild.

We weren’t planning to grab food here since their “famous” school bread is very custard-forward and coconutty… which is just not my jam. But then we walked into Kringla Bakeri Og Kafe, saw the chocolate chip cookies, looked at each other, and immediately knew it was happening. These cookies? So. Good. Would 10/10 get again.

We grabbed the nonalcoholic Kristoff Kaffe, and it totally revived us. It’s sweet, creamy, and such a good little pick-me-up. They do have an alcoholic version if you want it stronger!

For our “actual” drink here, we took the cast member’s recommendation and got the Juniper Pilsner, and as someone who is not a beer drinker, this was a pleasant surprise! Super light, refreshing, and the juniper flavor is just enough.

China

China has such a vibrant, colorful vibe. The architecture, lanterns, and intricate details make it feel like you’ve stepped into a completely different world. We grabbed egg rolls and they were so good—two for $5.95, which honestly felt like a steal at Disney. If you’re looking for a sit-down meal, our friend was raving about Nine Dragons, but we didn’t want anything heavy to break our stride, so the egg rolls were perfect.

For drinks, we stopped at the Joy of Tea kiosk near the front. I got the Butterfly Pea Flower drink (Gin, Vodka, Green Tea, Lemonade, Soda Water, Hibiscus, and Dragon Fruit Syrups, with Blueberry Popping Boba). It was fun and flavorful, but this is where the drinks started leaning very sweet. Sharing was definitely the move! Our friends got the Plum Wine, which is a classic.

China is also fun to explore beyond the food and drinks, the beautiful gardens, detailed architecture, and cultural displays make it a really immersive stop.

Germany

Germany has such a charming, old-world feel. You’ll notice timber-framed buildings, cozy beer garden vibes, and festive decorations that make it feel like a little European getaway.

I was craving a pretzel badly, but honestly, we were pretty full from the earlier stops. Instead, we went to the Germany Weinkeller for a drink. Rem and I did a shot of The Mozart Chocolate Cream Pumpkin Spice Liqueur. It was delicious, but also a little torturous after all the sweet drinks we’d already had.

If you want something a little less sugary, I’d highly recommend a glass of Dr. Loosen Riesling. It’s a dry Riesling straight from Germany, and I actually buy it at home all the time. Another solid option is, of course, their beer—perfect if you want to hold off on wine for Italy!

Italy

Italy is all about cobblestone streets, pastel buildings, and a lively, bustling feel that instantly makes you want to sip and stroll. The whole pavilion is just stunning and such a contrast from the cozier, darker vibes of Germany.

For drinks, I went with the Limoncello Mule, and it was so good! Refreshing and flavorful, but yes… very sweet, as you might expect. My friend went with a glass of champagne, which felt super elegant and the perfect way to soak in the beautiful surroundings. But of course, wine is the natural choice!

The atmosphere here really makes it a great spot to slow down a bit, take some photos, and enjoy the scenery while sipping. We’re pretty much at the halfway point here, and I was definitely starting to feel it, even though Remi and I were mostly sharing drinks. So I really can’t imagine how people who get their own drink at each stop feel at this point!

America

The America pavilion is super festive, especially around the holidays. That huge Christmas tree in the middle of the pavilion? Stunning. It really adds to the seasonal vibe and makes the area feel extra special.

By this point in our drinking-around-the-world adventure, I was definitely ready for some pretzels, and they did not disappoint! Perfectly soft and salty, just what I needed.

For drinks, we grabbed a 3 Daughters Beach Blonde, which is from one of my favorite breweries in St. Pete. It was so fun to see it here, and fun fact, it’s actually one of Remi’s favorite beers too! A little local flavor while you’re globetrotting around Epcot.

The whole pavilion is just cute and cozy, with classic Americana details.

Japan

Japan has such a cool, calming vibe, it actually gave me flashbacks to our trip to Japan! The architecture and details really make it feel like a little corner of Kyoto right in Epcot.

We stopped by the Sake Bar and tried the Violet Sake, which was surprisingly generous and served over ice. I don’t normally go for sake, but this one was really enjoyable—super sweet, though, and even sharing it between the two of us, we couldn’t quite finish it.

I wish I had been able to try some food here too! Japan has some really tempting options, but we were way too full by this point. Definitely keeping it in mind for next time.

Morocco

Morocco is absolutely stunning. We actually ended up sitting here for a little while just to soak in the atmosphere and finish our sake drinks from Japan. The architecture, colors, and lanterns really make it feel like a complete escape, and it was nice to slow down for a bit in the middle of the tour.

As for drinks, keeping it real, nothing really called to us here. We technically made a stop in Africa between China and Germany, which I thought was a little odd since it’s the only continent represented without a full pavilion. There wasn’t too much happening in this area, and the drink we tried, made with African rum, was sooo sweet so just a couple sips for me!

France

France is so picturesque, it honestly feels like you’ve stepped straight into a Parisian street. There’s the Ratatouille ride here, which looked super fun, but we skipped it since we wanted to make sure we had plenty of time to get around the world first.

For drinks, of course we had to indulge in some French classics, we grabbed a glass of champagne and a glass of wine. Both were delightful, and the vibe of the pavilion made it feel extra chic while sipping.

United Kingdom

The UK pavilion was amazing. The Rose & Crown pub here is legit! Rem got a Guinness, and they even made a Mickey Mouse in the foam, which was such a fun touch. My friend went with a Pimm’s Cup, and it was super refreshing.

Of course, we couldn’t resist a little photoshoot in one of the iconic red phone booths!

Canada

Canada was a cozy, scenic stop. The architecture and vibes here are really charming. Our friends finished with a Labatt Blue, and we went for one of their most popular options, a Canadian ice wine. It was definitely on the sweeter side, but still really tasty and fun to sip while taking in the pavilion.

BONUS: Go to Space!

This technically isn’t part of Drinking Around the World in Epcot, but I have to include it because it was genuinely one of my favorite parts of the day. We were lucky enough that our friends snagged a reservation at Space 220, and it really does feel like you’re dining in outer space! The whole experience is so immersive, from the “elevator” launch into orbit to the giant windows looking out into the galaxy.

And the drinks? Incredible. I didn’t include them in my top “Drink Around the World” picks since this isn’t a required stop to complete the loop, but I will say the cocktail I had here was my favorite drink from our entire Epcot day.

I got the Sunspot, and swapped the tequila for mezcal because… always team mezcal. Inside of it is lime, passion fruit, mango, hellfire bitters, and a splash of hibiscus! My dream drink.

If you can snag a reservation, I highly recommend making this your pre-game stop before your world tour. It’s such a fun vibe and a totally unique Epcot experience.

Are you ready for your drinking around the world tour in Epcot?!

And that’s a wrap, you’ve officially made it around the world at Epcot! I had such a fun time exploring all the pavilions, trying drinks, and grabbing little bites along the way. Like I mentioned, a lot of the drinks leaned on the sweeter side, but honestly, I could’ve made totally different choices, I just went for the ones that sounded fun and interesting.

There’s so much more to explore at Epcot too, from the seasonal festivals to rides, shows, and more unique food offerings. I’m sure this won’t be my last time doing a full “drinking around the world” adventure. Let me know in the comments what are you most looking forward to trying, or if you’ve been before, what’s the must-try for next time?!
