There’s just something about the coffee shops in St. Pete that make mornings feel a little brighter. Whether you’re fueling up before a beach day, meeting a friend to catch up, or just craving a cozy spot to get some work done, St. Pete has no shortage of amazing cafes to choose from.

As a Tampa Bay local with a slight coffee obsession, I’m always checking out the newest places brewing up amazing drinks here.

St. Pete is practically overflowing with options, with new spots popping up all the time! From cute neighborhood hangouts to sleek espresso bars and creative specialty drinks, these are some of my favorite coffee shops in St. Pete that are 100% worth checking out.

Best Coffee Shops in St. Pete

1. The Blend

If you need proof that The Blend is one of the top coffee spots in St. Pete, look no further than their eight locations across Tampa Bay, with four right in St. Pete alone!

Not only do they have drive-thrus at some spots, but they’re also known for their amazing coffee flights. They are always doing fun seasonal flights, sometimes they even offer a unique “white espresso” flight, which features a lightly roasted, high-caffeine twist (with the most stunning colors!).

If I’m not getting one of their fun seasonal flights, their “Blend Cold Brew” is my go-to! They also have beer, wine, and bites as well as some great workspaces.

2. Pistil House

Pistil House brings a dreamy mix of coffee, blooms, and a little something extra to St. Pete! Their coffee options are limited, but delicious. I usually get their iced oat milk latte with their heavenly house-made vanilla brown sugar. While you’re there experience their build-your-own bouquet experience or at least admire the stunning florals.

And if you’re in the mood to kick back with friends, it’s also one of my favorite wine bars in St. Pete! They have a curated selection of Pacific Northwest wines, craft beers, and refreshing non-alcoholic options. Plus build-your-own charcuterie board for the ultimate snack!

3. Daycation Coffee & Tea

Daycation is my latest St. Pete coffee shop obsession! Their coffees are not only stunning and unique but also absolutely delicious. We tried the Morning Forest, Ode to My 90s, Chestnut Cloud, and a blueberry muffin. Every sip and bite was perfection.

None of the drinks were very sweet, and coming from someone who usually gravitates toward sweeter coffees, they didn’t need the sweetness! The flavors were smooth, satisfying, and balanced perfectly with the blueberry muffin.

Everything here feels intentional—the syrups are made in-house, the matcha is ceremonial grade from Kyoto, and even the baked goods are made fresh on-site.

The owner was there during our visit and shared tips on how to drink each coffee for the best experience, which was such a thoughtful touch. We stopped by on a Wednesday morning when it wasn’t too busy, but I’ve heard weekends can get crowded.

With only five seats inside, it’s not the ideal spot for working but perfect for catching up with a friend over an amazing cup of coffee.

4. Grove Surf & Coffee

If you find yourself near St. Pete Beach, Grove Surf & Coffee is an absolute must! With tasty matcha and lattes like toasted coconut and orange vanilla (plus seasonal flavors that never disappoint), it’s the perfect spot to sip, chill, or even do a little retail therapy.

They are truly one of the cutest coffee shops in St. Pete with it’s beachy, surfer vibe, making it a fan favorite for locals and visitors!

Note: They’re temporarily closed due to damage from Hurricane Helene, but you can still visit their Indian Rocks Beach location—it’s worth the detour!

5. Crislip Cafe

Crislip Cafe is one of St. Pete’s hidden gems, tucked inside The Merchant—a charming space filled with local art and handcrafted goods. This spot offers a vibe that’s perfect for cozy coffee breaks, a little people-watching, or gathering with friends over a board game.

Beyond the chill atmosphere, their coffee shines, too! They serve organic brews with unique, flavorful twists like the “Black Magic Woman,” a spiced mocha, and the “Purple Rain” lavender latte. Plus, they support women-owned farms and local bakers, making each sip even sweeter!

6. Bad Mother

If you’re looking for a coffee shop in downtown St. Pete with the perfect workspace vibe, check out Bad Mother inside Station House. This spot is perfect for catching up with friends or diving into work in a warm, welcoming space.

Their coffee is bold and smooth, but if you’re feeling adventurous, try the “El Cocotaso”—a spicy mocha with a kick! They also serve up light bites, including an unforgettable whipped ricotta toast topped with pears, walnuts, and honey.

7. The Library

The Library is the ultimate spot for coffee and brunch (it’s one of the best brunch spots in downtown St. Pete)! The cappuccinos, made with Buddy Brew, are smooth, and the library-themed setting adds the coziest vibe.

It’s perfect for meetings, catching up with friends, or being productive. Just be careful—you might lose track of time after a few cappuccinos (guilty!). Plus, their brunch menu is top-notch, making it a great spot for bach parties and birthday brunches!

8. Black Crow

Black Crow Coffee is an absolute St. Pete original! It’s got that eccentric, artsy vibe with quirky seating, mismatched decor, and eclectic energy that makes you feel right at home. The coffee is excellent and features fair-trade, single-origin, organic beans roasted locally, with flavors that rotate regularly.

Black Crow truly embodies the “Keep St. Pete Local” spirit with events like monthly art premieres, open mics, and poetry nights. As Florida’s first zero-waste coffee shop, they’re serious about sustainability—from compostable products to their “bucket of litter = free coffee” initiative.

They have two unique locations in St. Pete—the Grand Central District and Historic Old Northeast—each with its signature artsy, eclectic vibe.

9. Book + Bottle

Book + Bottle is a dream for book, wine, and coffee lovers alike! It’s totally one of my go-to coffee shops in St. Pete; the vibe here is therapeutic. It’s so cozy and soothing, and the staff couldn’t be friendlier!

This spot goes beyond the typical bookshop cafe by pairing your literary journey with wine, which is brilliant, right? On my latest visit, I tried out their iced pumpkin pie cheesecake latte (yes, it tastes as divine as it sounds).

Bonus: Check out their events or join one of their awesome book clubs!

10. Flatbread & Butter

Flatbread & Butter is one of those spots where everything’s made with extra love—and you can taste it! With a scratch team of two, they bake fresh daily at their St. Pete location in the Uptown neighborhood and supply their newer Downtown Tampa cafe.

Their house-made syrups and seasonal flavors are always a win (I’m still dreaming of the lemon shortbread latte from summer). Coffee is amazing, food’s on point, and it’s the perfect place to post up with your laptop for a cozy, productive vibe!

11. Paradeco

Prepare to be wowed by Paradeco’s aesthetic—it’s Insta heaven! But this St. Pete coffee shop isn’t just a pretty face. Owners Tom and Sonya are deeply passionate about sustainability, with women-owned coffee farms and a zero-emission coffee roaster. How cool is that?

There is really so much to unpack with the conscious efforts Tom and Sonya make to Paradeco not just a cozy coffee shop, but also one with purpose. But let’s get to how it tastes! I can’t get enough of their imatcha latte with oat milk and vanilla. They single-handedly converted me into a matcha girly!

For food, the avocado toast is chef’s kiss, especially with that balsamic drizzle. Plus, their seasonal menu is on point—hello, lemon citrus pancakes! Trust me, you’ll want to try it all.

12. Patrona

Patrona Coffee offers more than just delicious cold brews and iced lattes – it’s a perfect spot to enjoy waterfront views and even spot some dolphins! Situated near the Gandy Bridge on the St. Pete side, this outdoor coffee shop also offers kayak and paddleboard rentals nearby for when you’re feeling active.

Plus, with free WiFi, you can stay productive while soaking up the sunshine. Whether you’re grabbing a cup or a paddle, it’s a must-visit for a fun and refreshing experience!

13. Lucky Cup Coffee Co.

If you find yourself in downtown St. Pete, Lucky Cup Coffee inside the Galaxy Hotel is a must-visit. I went in the fall and their Sweet Potato Latte completely blew me away—it was just the right amount of sweetness and so comforting.

I wasn’t a huge fan of their cold brew, but honestly, that latte alone makes it worth a stop. The vibe inside is modern, and it’s the perfect little spot to grab a drink before exploring the city. Plus, it feels a bit hidden, so it’s kind of like your own little coffee find in the middle of downtown.

14. The Under Grounds Coffee and Juice Company

The Under Grounds Coffee and Juice Bar is known for its creativity and craft drinks. Their team uses only the freshest fruits, veggies, and organic coffee to make house-blended teas, fresh juices, and unique syrups you won’t find anywhere else!

The vibe is quaint but cozy, and you can really feel the care that goes into each drink. The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable—they’re happy to share the inspiration and details behind their creations if you’re stuck on what to order!

15. Gypsy Souls

Gypsy Souls Coffeehouse is a cozy, peaceful mom-and-pop shop perfect for getting some work done or enjoying a quiet break. Their single-origin beans are roasted locally, and the coffee flavors are uniquely delicious—think raspberry white mocha, pistachio cappuccinos, toffee nut, lavender, and even toasted marshmallow.

If you’re into something a little different, they also offer CBD-infused options. The friendly staff is always eager to help you pick the perfect brew, and don’t forget about their second location near Indian Rocks Beach on the water!

16. Bandit

Bandit’s vibe is all energy and brightness—definitely a spot to meet up with friends, not so much for a quiet work session. The music is great, and the lattes? Chef’s kiss.

I had a seasonal maple bourbon latte that still has me drooling. Their bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich is also a fan favorite, and trust me, you’ll want to get your hands on one.

It’s a bustling place, but that’s just a sign of how good the coffee (and food) really is!

17. Brewed Awakenings

If you’re craving a refreshing, unique coffee experience, head to Brewed Awakenings in St. Pete. It seems to be a moving space, so make sure to follow them on Instagram to keep up with where they are popping up next! (It’s worth the effort.)

There’s no espresso machine here; instead, they craft every cold brew by hand, using bottled coffee and cocktail shakers to shake up your order! Their cinnamon banana bread latte is a total must-try!

18. Blush Tea & Coffee

Blush Tea & Coffee is the ultimate spot for tea lovers, with over 100 unique teas sourced both locally and globally! But fear not, coffee lovers, they have you covered too! They’ve got a rotating lineup of unique seasonal coffee flavors (the peanut brittle latte was a hit for me!) along with all the classics—so you’re bound to find something you love.

Their inviting ambiance makes you feel right at home, and their weekly-changing selection of baked goods adds the perfect touch.

19. Pour & Decor

Pour & Decor is a one-of-a-kind coffee bar and home decor shop! Located in the Grand Central District, it’s perfect for a coffee date or a little decor shopping spree.

They specialize in traditional Italian espresso drinks, alternative beverages, and partner with Mazzaro’s Italian Market to bring top-quality coffee beans. The shop also features fun seasonal drinks and even affogato flight—perfect for a sweet pick-me-up!

The retail side is packed with beautiful tabletop decor, accents, and unique gifts, perfect for refreshing your space or finding a thoughtful present.

20. Intermezzo

Intermezzo is definitely one of those St. Pete coffee shops that locals know and love, and it’s perfect for grabbing coffee while you get some work done or just want a chill morning.

Around the holidays, it becomes extra magical—they deck the place out and it’s super festive. But the real star is the Carrot Cake Latte—seriously, it might be my favorite seasonal coffee treat in the city. The vibe is cozy and inviting, making it easy to linger for a while.
