If you’re looking for awesome restaurants on the Tampa Riverwalk, you’re in luck! I’ve spent countless sunny days and evenings strolling along this scenic waterfront, and I can confidently say there’s no shortage of spots to eat, drink, and soak up the views.
From fresh seafood to creative bites and drinks with a view, the Riverwalk has a little something for everyone. Whether you’re grabbing brunch with friends, enjoying a date night, or just looking for a great spot to relax by the water, I’ve got you covered with my top picks along the Tampa Riverwalk.

Restaurants on the Tampa Riverwalk
1. Ulele
A local favorite, Ulele has built a name for itself with its modern take on native Florida flavors. While it’s not my absolute favorite, I’ve been a few times and always enjoy the vibe.
The energy here is lively and fun, making it a great spot for celebrations. Their menu highlights include Native Chili, fresh seafood, and fire-grilled dishes. Plus, the rustic-meets-contemporary setting with open-air seating and riverfront views definitely adds to the experience.

2. Armature Works
Armature Works is more than just a restaurant—it’s a whole experience. Located right on the Riverwalk, this renovated historic building houses multiple eateries under one roof, so you can sample a variety of foods without leaving.
From fresh seafood and sushi to wood-fired pizza and gourmet sandwiches, there’s something for whatever you’re craving. I love grabbing a bite and then taking a stroll along the water, or settling in with a drink at one of the open-air spots to watch the boats go by.
A few of my absolute must-tries:
- The quesatacos from Muchachas
- The Tampa Girl empanada from Empamamas (it even made my list of best Cuban sandwiches in Tampa!)
- A morning coffee from Buddy Brew (one of the best coffee shops in Tampa)
- One of the best bagels in Tampa from Graze 1910

3. M. Bird
Even though M.Bird is technically inside Armature Works, it totally deserves its own spotlight. This Tampa rooftop bar has become one of my go-to spots, and it’s easy to see why. The views of the Hillsborough River and downtown are gorgeous, and the vibe is lively without being overwhelming—perfect for hanging with friends or grabbing a drink before heading out for the night.
The menu is just as good as the scenery. From jerk chicken egg rolls to shrimp Rangoon and roasted corn tacos, there’s something for everyone, but my absolute musts are the truffle fries, seared tuna, and hot-fried chicken sliders. And the cocktails? You can’t skip the Billy Ocean Water—lime, coconut, rum, and just the right tropical sweetness.
It’s one of my favorite bars in Tampa and a perfect stop if you’re celebrating a Tampa bachelorette party!

4. Malio’s
If you’re looking for an upscale steakhouse experience on the Riverwalk, Malio’s Prime Steakhouse is the spot. This place oozes elegance with dim lighting, cozy vibes, and top-notch service—ideal for a romantic date night or special occasion.
Expect perfectly cooked prime cuts, fresh seafood, and decadent sides. It’s a classic Tampa steakhouse that never disappoints.
5. Lona
Lona brings a taste of coastal Mexico to the Riverwalk, combining traditional Mexican flavors with a contemporary twist! The bright, lively decor sets the tone for a vibrant menu packed with fresh ceviches, bold tacos, and authentic Mexican flavors.
I had the lobster quesadilla, and it was loaded with buttery, rich lobster. And the enchiladas divorciados were absolutely unforgettable.
Save room for dessert because the tres leches + El Jefe espresso martini is an elite combo. Speaking of drinks, their cocktail menu is next level—the Passion Picante is perfect for mezcal lovers, while the Mercado Margarita with hibiscus rosemary foam is pure mixology magic.

6. Big Rays Fish Camp on the Riverwalk
Big Ray’s Fish Camp is a casual seafood spot right on the water and serves up some of the best seafood platters, fish sandwiches, and crab cakes around. The laid-back fishing-shack vibes make it a great place to relax and dig into fresh, no-frills seafood.
Right next door, The Sail keeps the fun going with live music on Fridays and Saturdays. It’s also dog-friendly—so bring your pup, grab a drink, and soak in the Riverwalk views.
Together, Big Ray’s and The Sail make up The Sail Pavilion, a go-to for casual waterfront dining.

7. Anchor & Brine
Anchor & Brine is the perfect spot if you’re all about fresh seafood with a waterfront view. It’s one of the best restaurants on the Tampa Riverwalk to relax, watch the boats go by, and enjoy some seriously good food.
After our meal (the ceviche, lobster roll, and fried avocado were elite), we walked the Riverwalk and soaked up the sunshine—can’t recommend it enough if you’re spending the day in the area!

8. Columbia Cafe
If you want a taste of Tampa’s Spanish heritage, Columbia Cafe is a classic. Located inside the Tampa Bay History Center, this spot serves up Cuban sandwiches, paella, tapas, and refreshing sangria—all with a beautiful waterfront view.
It’s also a great place for live music, with performances on Friday and Saturday nights.
