Miami is a city known for its incredible nightlife, beautiful beaches, and diverse culture, but one of my favorite ways to experience the city is by exploring its food scene! There are so many fun restaurants in Miami that offer more than just a great meal—they’re an experience. From restaurants that turn into full-on parties as the night goes on to immersive themed concepts and over-the-top dining experiences, deciding where to go can be a little overwhelming.

I’ve been to Miami plenty of times, and somehow my list of restaurants I still want to try only keeps getting longer. While the city is famous for its nightlife, what I love is that so many restaurants become part of it. You can start the evening with dinner, and before you know it, there’s a DJ, dancers, sparklers, and everyone is out of their seats. It’s dinner and a show all in one.

For this guide, I wanted to include a mix of both. Some of these restaurants are fun because they transform into high-energy parties, while others made the list because of their creative concepts, unique decor, or one-of-a-kind experiences. And honestly, this is just scratching the surface of all the iconic restaurants Miami has to offer, but it’s a pretty great place to start!

Fun Restaurants in Wynwood, Miami

1. 1-800-LUCKY

1-800-LUCKY is an Asian-inspired food hall packed with incredible vendors, making it the perfect spot if your group can’t agree on what to eat, or if you just want to try a little bit of everything!

We ended up coming here twice during our trip because there were so many places we wanted to try! We grabbed sushi from B-Side Sushi, a poke bowl from Poke OG, and of course, we couldn’t leave without stopping by Taiyaki NYC for one of their famous fish-shaped waffle cones filled with soft serve.

If you go, do yourself a favor and order the Big Island OG bowl from Poke OG. It was so fresh and packed with flavor.

Beyond the food, the atmosphere is what makes 1-800-LUCKY such a fun place to hang out. There’s both indoor and outdoor seating, and while plenty of people stop by for a quick bite, many stick around to enjoy the lively vibe. Depending on when you visit, you might catch live music, and if you’re with a group, you can even rent a private karaoke room to keep the fun going!

2. Wynwood Marketplace

If you’re spending time in Wynwood, you have to stop by Wynwood Marketplace. It’s one of those places that always seems to have something going on, whether it’s live music, local vendors, food trucks, or a fun event. It’s the perfect place to wander around for a bit, grab a drink, and soak up the energy of the neighborhood.

One of my favorite things about Wynwood Marketplace is that every visit feels a little different. You can browse local shops, admire the colorful street art surrounding the area, and try food from a variety of vendors. Keep in mind they’re only open Thursday through Sunday.

3. Mayami Wynwood

If you’re looking for one of those “dinner turns into a party” restaurants, Mayami Wynwood is probably already on your radar. I didn’t get a chance to eat here this trip, but after walking through, I immediately understood the hype. The entire place feels like you’re stepping into another world, with jungle-inspired decor, fire performers, DJs, and a party atmosphere that picks up as the night goes on.

The menu features Mexican-inspired dishes and creative cocktails, but honestly, people come just as much for the experience as they do the food. Just keep in mind there’s a dress code, so come dressed to impress!

4. Sexy Fish

Sexy Fish had been on my Miami restaurant bucket list for years, so I was so excited to finally check it off. From the second you walk inside, you can tell this isn’t your average restaurant. The decor is absolutely stunning, with colorful artwork, dramatic lighting, and details that make you want to look around every corner.

We visited for their $34 lunch set, and I honestly thought it was such a great deal. You get your choice of miso soup or edamame, plus a starter, entrée, and dessert, and everything we ordered was fresh, flavorful, and surprisingly filling.

While lunch was a little more relaxed, Sexy Fish really comes alive later in the evening. They’re known for their lively dinners, Sunday brunch, and late-night atmosphere Thursday through Saturday, when the music gets louder and the restaurant starts to feel more like a party. Oh, and whatever you do, don’t leave without a visit to the bathroom; trust me on this one.

5. Kiki on the River

We went to Kiki on the River for my friend’s Miami bachelorette party, and it ended up being one of my favorite meals of the entire trip. Sitting right along the water in downtown Miami, this gorgeous restaurant serves Greek and Mediterranean-inspired dishes, delicious cocktails, and has no shortage of Instagram-worthy corners.

As beautiful as it is, the food definitely isn’t an afterthought. We ordered a bunch of dishes to share family-style, and every single plate was a hit. I still think about their pasta; it was that good!

We spent hours here on a Sunday, eating, chatting, enjoying the waterfront views, and soaking up the fun atmosphere. They’re known for their fun brunches and nightlife vibe. This was definitely a Miami restaurant where the day escalated in a really fun way.

6. Swan

If you’re looking for the cutest lunch spot in Miami, Swan Miami deserves a spot on your list. The menu focuses on fresh, seasonal ingredients, so you’ll find plenty of lighter dishes that still feel filling. I ordered the Muffy Salad with the champagne poppy vinaigrette, and I’m still thinking about it. It had such fresh flavors.

The restaurant itself is just as memorable as the food. Inside, you’ll find soft pastel colors, elegant details, and one of the prettiest dining rooms in Miami. Outside, the courtyard feels like a hidden garden with lush greenery that somehow manages to feel both tropical and chic.

I didn’t get to check out Bar Bevy upstairs since it doesn’t open until 11 PM, but it’s known for having a completely different vibe. Think moodier lighting, Moroccan-inspired decor, and a fun late-night atmosphere if you’re looking to continue your evening after dinner.

7. Salvaje Miami

Salvaje Miami is equal parts stylish, lively, and delicious! The menu combines Japanese cuisine with premium steaks, creative cocktails, and beautifully plated dishes, all served in a trendy space that feels perfect for a night out.

I actually haven’t been to the Miami location yet, but I did fall in love with Salvaje while spending 10 days in Colombia. It ended up being one of my favorite meals of the trip, so when I found out they had opened a location in Miami, it immediately went on my list.

If the Miami restaurant is anything like the one in Bogotá, you can expect incredible food, a fun atmosphere, and a dining experience that’s about so much more than just the meal. It’s definitely one of the next restaurants I’m planning to check out the next time I’m in Miami.

8. Little Hen

If you’re searching for the best brunch in Miami, let me save you some time and tell you to book a table at Little Hen. I’ll admit, I was a little worried this would be one of those places that looks adorable on Instagram but has mediocre food. Thankfully, I was completely wrong.

Everything on the menu sounded incredible, but after our waitress recommended the chilaquiles. They were packed with flavor, and my only regret is not adding chicken. I’ll definitely be ordering them again next time!

Of course, the aesthetic is just as dreamy as everyone says. Between the beautiful decor, fun brunch cocktails, and delicious menu, it’s easy to see why Little Hen is one of the most popular brunch spots in Miami. Be sure to check out my Reel if you want a closer look before you go!

Pro Tip!: If you are driving around Miami, use Spot Hero to find cheap parking! I even use this when parking my car overnight so I don't have to pay the hefty hotel parking fees!

Fun Restaurants in Miami Beach

9. Hosteria Romana

Tucked along the charming Española Way, Hosteria Romana brings a little slice of Italy in the middle of Miami Beach. Between the music, lively atmosphere, and incredible food, I honestly forgot I was in Florida for a minute. It was the closest I’ve come to eating in Italy since my trip there a couple of years ago.

The portions here are huge, so I definitely recommend sharing a few dishes with the table. We split the caprese salad and lasagna, and it was the perfect amount of food. Everything tasted fresh, homemade, and incredibly comforting.

And whatever you do, don’t skip the mojitos. They come in these giant glasses with fresh muddled fruit, your own sugar cane stir stick, and they’re just as fun as they are delicious.

10. Gianni’s

Gianni’s is an iconic Miami restaurant located at the former Versace Mansion. While dinner can definitely be a splurge (I mean…welcome to Miami), they offer an incredible $34 lunch menu from 11 AM to 4:30 PM, which includes an appetizer, entree, and dessert, making it one of the best ways to experience this famous spot without spending a fortune.

One thing to know before you go, make reservations as early as possible. Tables can book up months in advance, especially if you’re hoping to have lunch by the famous pool.

We weren’t able to snag a reservation, but we still stopped in for drinks, and I’m so glad we did. The mansion is absolutely breathtaking, and it’s worth visiting just to admire the architecture and history.

The cocktails aren’t cheap, but the Berrisace Collins was honestly one of my favorite drinks I had in Miami, and getting to sip it in such an iconic setting made it totally worth it.

Which of these fun Miami restaurants are you checking out first?!

Every time I visit Miami, I discover another spot that gets added to my ever-growing list, and honestly, I don’t think I’ll ever run out of new places to try. I hope this guide helps you narrow down where to start!
