When it comes to enjoying a drink with a view, there are plenty of amazing rooftop bars in Tampa Bay to choose from! From skyline views in downtown Tampa to coastal breezes in St. Pete, there’s no shortage of amazing spots to sip, relax, and soak in the Florida sunshine.
One of the things I love most about living here is that rooftop season truly never ends—there’s always somewhere new to check out, whether you’re going for craft cocktails, weekend brunch, or sunset vibes with friends.

Rooftop Bars in Tampa
1. M. Bird
M. Bird is hands down one of my go-to rooftop bars in Tampa. It’s located on the Tampa Riverwalk and the views of downtown and the Hillsborough River are stunning! The vibe is just so good—perfect for hanging out with friends, catching sunset, or starting a night out.
The food here is always a win. I’m talking jerk chicken egg rolls, shrimp Rangoon, roasted corn tacos—so many good options. My personal favorites? The truffle fries, seared tuna, and hot-fried chicken sliders. You really can’t go wrong with any of them.
And don’t even get me started on the cocktails. The Billy Ocean Water is a must-order! It’s rum-based with lime and coconut, super refreshing, and honestly looks as good as it tastes.
This Tampa rooftop is also perfect for birthday parties or bachelorette parties to add on as a stop!

2. Beacon
Beacon is actually the tallest rooftop bar in the city! Located downtown at the JW Marriott, this spot gives you a true bird’s-eye view of the skyline and the bay. It feels sleek, modern, and a little bit luxurious.
The drink menu is crafted with care—think creative cocktails with fresh ingredients and a few that change seasonally. If you’re into tequila or mezcal, you’ll definitely find something you love here. They also have a solid wine and champagne list, making it great for celebrating or just treating yourself to a classy night out.
Food-wise, Beacon has a small but delicious menu featuring light bites and shareable plates that pair perfectly with your drink (the tuna and dumplings are standouts).
Whether you’re catching golden hour before dinner or staying for a late-night cocktail with friends, Beacon really delivers on the “wow” factor. Between the panoramic views, stylish atmosphere, and great service, it’s easily one of the best rooftop bars in Tampa.

3. SiX
SiX is another incredible rooftop spot in downtown Tampa, located on the sixth floor of the JW Marriott (just below Beacon!). It has a totally different vibe—more laid-back and cozy, with beautiful views of Water Street and the bay.
This is the kind of place you come to relax and enjoy great food in a classy but comfortable setting. Their menu is definitely more on the restaurant side than just small bites, with a variety of land and seafood options.
The cocktails here are also fantastic—balanced, creative, and beautifully presented. It’s a great spot for a date night or a more low-key evening when you still want the rooftop experience without the full party vibe.

4. Azure at The EDITION
Azure is one of the most stunning rooftop bars in Tampa Bay, located at The Tampa EDITION downtown. The second you step off the elevator, it feels like you’ve been transported to the Mediterranean—lush greenery and an open-air vibe that’s both chic and relaxing.
This is definitely one of the more upscale rooftops in Tampa, but it’s totally worth visiting for the atmosphere alone. The views are gorgeous, especially at sunset, and it’s such a good spot for a cocktail before dinner or a night out.
Speaking of cocktails—the Garden Margarita is my go-to. It’s light, refreshing, and perfectly balanced (if it’s still on the menu, you have to try it). Their food menu has a few shareable options too, making it easy to post up with friends and hang out for a while.

5. Sal Y Mar
Tulum vibes in Tampa? Yes, please. Sal Y Mar, perched on top of the Aloft Hotel in Midtown Tampa, immediately transports you to a dreamy, boho-chic paradise. The decor is stunning, the ambiance is immaculate, and the views? Chef’s kiss.
The menu has changed since I last went, but I loved all of the Cuban-inspired dishes we had! This is definitely a rooftop bar you want to take your appetite to. Great cocktails, and an awesome happy hour Mondays-Fridays 4-7 PM.

6. EDGE Rooftop
EDGE Rooftop is a chill spot in SOHO, perfect for a low-key evening with friends. I still think about the mocktail I had here—it was refreshing, perfectly balanced, and honestly made me want to come back for every visit.
They offer some light bites, but it’s located at the Epicurean Hotel, which is also home to one of the best restaurants in Tampa, Elevage. So if you come hungry I recommend heading downstairs.
It’s walking distance to Hyde Park Village and Bayshore, so it’s the perfect spot to wind down after a day out exploring. Definitely a go-to if you want elevated vibes without the downtown chaos.

7. Maru
Maru is a stylish rooftop bar near Bayshore with beautiful views, a great vibe, and a unique Peruvian-Japanese fusion menu. It’s perfect for a night out or even just a quick stop for a drink and a bite.
The menu is on the smaller side, with shareable plates, caviar, and desserts. If you visit during happy hour they have $8 spritzes and other drink specials. When we went we grabbed a drink and small bite and the Ceviche Nikkei with tuna was super flavorful and fresh—definitely a standout!

Rooftop Bars in St. Pete
8. Berkely Beach Club
If you’re around Pass-a-Grille, stop into Berkely Beach Club for a cocktail and breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico and Boca Ciega Bay. The sunsets over here are something extra special!
With its chic, bright, and airy ambiance, this spot is perfect for unwinding with a nice cocktail or glass of wine.

9. Cane & Barrel
Cane & Barrel is bringing all the Cuban-inspired vibes to downtown St. Pete, and I am so here for it. It’s one of the newer rooftop restaurants in St. Pete, and it is just absolutely stunning!
The indoor lounge is super cozy, and the open-air terrace is equally charming. The menu is packed with flavorful bites—think Cuban sandwiches, empanadas, tacos, and crispy tostones with cilantro crema. And don’t sleep on their mocktails—they’re just as flavorful as the craft cocktails!

10. The Canopy at The Birchwood
The Canopy is one of those rooftop spots in St. Pete that just gets it right. It’s perched right on Beach Drive and comes with all the vibes—private cabanas, cozy fire pits, and one of my favorite froses!
Even better? Wednesdays are ladies’ night, which means half-off frose… yes, please! And the views? You’ve got the bay, St. Pete Pier, and North Straub Park all in one dreamy skyline.
If you’re hungry, their bar bites hit the spot—sliders, flatbreads, wings, all the good stuff. But if you’re looking for more of a sit-down dinner, grab a drink upstairs and then head down to Birch & Vine—their steak is so good!

11. Pier Teaki
Pier Teaki is such a fun little tropical escape right on the St. Pete Pier! It’s got that laid-back vacay vibe—tiki drinks, ocean breeze, and all the beachy energy you could want. It’s actually owned by the same crew behind The Canopy, so yep, they’ve got that frose too (you already know I’m obsessed).
They’ve got a solid bar bites menu with wings, sandwiches, flatbreads, and dips—perfect for casual snacking. But honestly? I say grab a drink (served in a tiki glass, obviously), soak up those waterfront views, and then make your way over to Beach Drive for dinner.
And if you’re there around sunset? That dreamy golden light over the water with the St. Pete skyline behind you is such a magical moment.

12. Sparrow
If you’re looking for a vibeyyyyy rooftop bar in downtown St. Pete, Sparrow is it. The music had me this close to rallying for a night out… but let’s be real, I went home to my cats instead.
This is the perfect place to grab tapas and cocktails with your crew before hitting the town. My faves? The shrimp tacos, NY strip, and Brussels sprouts—all so good.
And the drinks? So fun. I’m obsessed with their Disco Balls on Fire, which is actually a mocktail, but I tried it both ways (with mezcal, of course), and 10/10 recommend either version!

Rooftop Bars in Dunedin and Clearwater Beach
13. HiFi Rooftop
HiFi sits atop the Fenway Hotel, where we’ve stayed during a few of our weekend getaways in Dunedin, and this spot is a gem. It’s a great stop for sunset, but don’t let this be your last stop! There are so many fun bars in Dunedin, but this is the perfect place to start.
The cocktail menu is pretty simple, I usually just grab a glass of wine or mezcalita. They also have a decent sized food menu if you want to grab a bite.

14. Bar Tiki
Not only is Bar Tiki one of the best rooftop bars in Clearwater Beach, but it’s also one of the best bars in the area period! Its marina location makes it the perfect spot to grab a drink before heading out on one of your Clearwater Beach activities—or just to kick back and soak up the fun atmosphere. I always recommend this one for girls’ weekends and bachelorette parties!
The food and drinks all go along with the tiki vibe, that make you feel like you’re on vacation, even if you’re a local! And on the weekends, they always have an awesome DJ!

15. Jimmy’s on the Edge
Jimmy’s on the Edge has some of the best panoramic views in town. If you’re there around 9 PM, they pass out free Fireball shots and everyone cheers together! I’m not much of a Fireball girl myself, but you’ll definitely catch me sipping on a mango pina colada while soaking up the vibes.
They also have bites like sandwiches, salads, and bowls, but if you want a really good meal, head next door to their sister location—easily one of the best restaurants in Clearwater Beach.

16. Jimmy’s Crow’s Nest
Jimmy’s Crow’s Nest has stunning views of Pier 60, and is the perfect place to kick back with a drink and watch the sunset. They also do a sunset celebration where they pass around free shots (I prefer this shot to the fireball at Jimmy’s on the EDGE).

17. The Deep End
The Deep End is located on the 11th-floor rooftop of the AC Hotel and has such a sleek, modern vibe with the most stunning views of the Intracoastal!
They have a great cocktail menu, but are down to mix up any of your requests. Naturally, this is another iconic spot to catch one of Clearwater Beach’s stunning sunsets!
